2006-2008 E85 E86 BMW Z4 3.0i 3.0si N52 Engine Long Block / 121k / Z4048

2006-2008 E85 E86 BMW Z4 3.0i 3.0si N52B30AE Engine Long Block / 121k
Donor Car:
2006 BMW E85 Z4 3.0i Convertible – 121K
Functionality:
In good running condition, fully tested and ran prior to removal from the vehicle. Engine started smoothly with no smoking and idled at 850rpm. We were able to fully rev the engine with no misfires or hesitations. Compression tested with good results – (235-240-240-235-235-240). Engine had no visible oil or fluid leaks during testing. We do suggest replacing any easy to access gaskets and seals while the engine is removed from the vehicle. Crank pulley spun smoothly with no wobbles or play. Oil and coolant have been drained with no excessive shavings or abnormalities. Will ship drained of all fluids.
Physical Condition:
In good physical condition, Engine block has not been hit or cracked in any way. Free off any major surface rusting or corrosion. It is very common for the exhaust manifold studs to develop heavier corrosion due to the extreme heat exposure. We highly suggest replacing the studs prior to use. The silver engine cover trim panel has two small crack surrounding the BMW roundel as shown. Includes the engine long block, valve cover, coil pack, fuel rail, injectors, wiring harness, motor mount brackets, EGR Valve, crank pulley, oil filter housing, water pump, intake manifold, throttle body, and alternator as shown. You will need to reuse some of your existing hardware and components for installation.
Fits:
2006, 2007 BMW Z4 3.0i (production date BEFORE 10/2006)
2006, 2007, 2008 BMW Z4 3.0si (production date BEFORE 10/2006, reusing existing intake manifold / wiring harness)
Fitment Notes:
* This engine was removed from a 2006 Z4 3.0i with a production date of 09/2006. This engine will be a direct replacement for any 3.0i model with a production date BEFORE 10/2006. This may still fit later models; however the PCV system, valve cover, and engine covers were changed for those models, so you will need to transfer those components over from your existing engine for this to work in your vehicle.*
** This engine is NOT a direct fit for other BMW models equipped with the N52 engine due to the Z4 models utilizing an electric power steering system. There are multiple accessory components and pulleys that would need to be transferred over for use in those models with hydraulic power steering. Z4 3.0si models will need to reuse their existing intake manifold assembly for use **

Warranty Information:
This engine comes with a 90 day warranty that begins on the day the engine is received by the buyer. The warranty covers the engine block, crankshaft, pistons, rods, bearings, oil pump, cylinder head, head gasket, camshafts, valves and lifters against any defects that prevent the engine from operating as intended from the factory or make noises consistent with damaged engine internals ( rod knock, spun bearings, etc). Every engine we list has been fully run tested, compression tested and when possible test driven to make sure it runs smoothly, makes no odd noises and does not overheat.
What is not included in the warranty is common wear and tear items such as: timing belt, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, sensors and seals. While these items were in working condition at the time of testing, their lifespan is usually shorter than the internals of the engine and are therefore not covered under warranty. If any seals or gaskets are leaking at the time the engine is being tested and removed, or any sensors broken or defective, they will be noted in the item description. No labor, diagnostic or towing costs will be covered under warranty. In the event of a warranty claim, please be prepared to supply pictures, video and/or a statement from a shop/mechanic to validate the claim. For diagnostic purposes during the process of a warranty claim, the engine must remain in the car as installed. Beginning the removal process or any disassembly of the engine prior to our approval will voi…
